What you owe and what limit you have left

On a credit card, the balance is not money you have: it is money you owe. Not Pato keeps the two apart and shows you the debt for the current cycle and the available limit on every card, together on one screen.

The credit card is where control slips first, and that is not on you: your bank app shows a number that can mean two opposite things depending on where you read it.

Then add installments. Buying something in three installments is not a this-month expense, it is a commitment for the next three, and that commitment shows up nowhere until it lands.

And if you hold cards at more than one bank, no single screen tells you what you owe in total.

How it works

  1. 1

    Puts every card together

From every bank you connect, plus the ones you want to track by hand. All on the same screen.

  2. 2

    Separates debt from limit

How much you have spent this cycle and how much you have left, two different numbers, and neither of them is your balance.

  3. 3

    Follows the billing cycle

Not the calendar month: your card's real cycle, which is what decides what lands on the next statement.

  4. 4

Shows what is coming in installments

Installment purchases appear as what they are, a commitment that stays alive over the coming months.

What you see in the app

  • The cycle debt on each card, and the total across all of them
  • The available limit, even when the bank does not report it directly
  • Whether a card is over its limit, said plainly
  • Where your limit went, by category

Frequently asked questions

Because the bank often shows the billed balance, which is the last statement, while Not Pato shows the cycle in progress: what you have spent since the last cut-off. Both are correct, they answer different questions.
